Meghan+Blake|Wedding — Macon Photography

Meeting with these sweet people, I had never met a couple so utterly smitten and head over heels. Everything was so fresh, so new, so real and easy. They said they had waited their whole lives for this kind of love and it just fell in to their laps and the rest was history. Everything moved very quickly for them and why not--they were in love and knew it from the start! (I knew I loved my husband after two days, so I'm all for it!) I love loved shooting their engagements and just knew their Wedding was going to be perfect! It was awesome in every way! Now, Meghan is a fabulous Wedding Planner for Emily Weddings--they work with crazy talented photographers all the time so being chosen was humbling to say the least! When I arrived everything was so laid back, everyone was just hanging out and having the best time--how it should be! Everything ran on schedule, I expected nothing less ;) I loved her sweet touches to incorporate their love of the beach and admiration to his career choice of being a Firefighter. Now, the guys had a fun afternoon at the Barbershop--so neat and original; the perfect hidden gem in Virginia Beach!

We headed to the docks for the sweetest, most emotional 'first look' I've encountered to date--my heart!!! The amount of love that these two exude remind me every day of how lucky I am to have the 'job' that I do. Blake claims that Meghan never writes him 'love notes'--she said she was saving up for this moment; it was worth the wait, we were all in tears! As usual, I'm so thankful for this 'first look' because we were able to get a majority of the pictures knocked out and everyone had time to relax before another emotional roller coaster, the ceremony :) Those handwritten vows get us every time!! It was the perfect testament of love and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Reception Time!! The reception took place at The Water Table which was the perfect fit for these two. Beach was sprinkled across the tables--all of the details were made with love from Meghan and Blake; projects they spent many evenings working away on, making it that much more special! They kicked ass on that dance floor and their 'shaggin lessons' most certainly paid off! The highlight and surprise of the night--ol' Blake had a quick outfit change into his Fireman's uniform for the best garter removal everrr!!! We can all agree, it's totally hot. S'more's were enjoyed, Skinny Dip!!, Photobooth fun and an awesome band brought the dance moves all night long!! So many emotions, so many smiles and so SO much love filled the room. Family is so clearly number one for these two and the warmth was felt all around. I loved everything about this day and I love these two so very much!! A huge thank you and photo cred to my favorite Zoe--she second shot this bad boy and we had a blast! We also had the pleasure of working with The Girl Tyler--fabulous Videography; I loved working alongside them and can't wait to see the goods! :)
