I truly don't know where to begin with these guys. I think of them as family. That have the biggest hearts you've ever seen. I swear their sole purpose in life is to spread love--and make beautiful babies ;) I first met Amanda almost six years ago, when I was just starting this dream journey of Photography. She believed in me, she took a chance on me. She trusted in me and I captured her mother and son family session//it was before that dream boat of a man had come in to the picture. But boy did he come and sweep her off her feet, and I'm so very thankful for that. I never seen a happier woman and I've never seen a more loving and devoted father to their now family of four. Which means; I also had the honor of capturing maternity pictures for them last winter after a beautiful snow storm. Their Wedding Day finally arrived. So fun and different! They got ready at the Tar Roof in Pungo, which is a new and fabulous location for Events and portraits! Their ceremony and reception took place at the Military Aviation Museum which couldn't be more perfect for them! Juan travels a lot for work and as a family they make it a point to wander, to take in sights, to see the world. (Which I truly admire, because lord knows just getting my kids to Target is a struggle, ha!) Maps and globes and little airplane bottles for guests, it was the cutest set up!
I also feel the need to mention, just days before, Amanda sprained her ankle and was on crutches and a brace yet she trooped through portraits, was carried from place to place, danced the night away, was still mother of the year-- nothing dampened her mood (and I know she had to be in pain) I mean, this girl is seriously gold.
Now for the depressing part of this post. I'm so thankful we were able to capture her actual Wedding and Reception here BECAUSE we had flights booked to San Diego to capture their intimate reception and ALL FLIGHTS WERE CANCELLED. We tried everything, they tried switching flights every which way but we were not able to get things squared away to make it in time for their reception. ALL of our hearts were broken. Have no fear, we're already planning a trash the dress session ;)
More than anything, I'm just so thankful these guys were brought in to our lives. We are so lucky to have the clients we do that truly become friends and family. We love you guys so much, until our next adventure!
Thankful for Vendor Friends making it a stellar night!!
